Paula Owen

Paula is a Solicitor in the Family Department based across all three offices specialising in children law matters.

Experience

Paula was admitted as a solicitor in 1994 and started her career as a criminal lawyer before moving to full time family work in 2010. Since that time, Paula has dealt exclusively with children matters.  She represents parents and children involved in care proceedings or in complex family disputes where the court has made the children parties to the case.

With an established reputation as a highly experienced and skilled  advocate, Paula is known for approaching her work sensitively, pragmatically and professionally. She is a member of the Children Panel and has repeatedly represented parents and children in complex cases such as those involving non accidental injuries to children or deprivation of their liberty.

Paula is a member of the Children’s Panel accredited through the Law Society.

Hobbies & Interests

Paula enjoys the great outdoors and is a keen horse rider. When she is not mucking out or in the saddle, she can usually be found walking the dogs or in her local with friends or family, a wine in hand and a dog at foot.
