Pam Sanghera Joins Child Abduction Panel of Specialist Lawyers

Pam Sanghera

Pam Sanghera of our Family Department has successfully joined the specialist panel of lawyers to undertake extremely complex child abduction work. Pam will represent international parents where their children have been abducted and brought into the United Kingdom unlawfully as well as parents whose children have been unlawfully removed from the United Kingdom.

Pam will accept instructions from The International Child Abduction and Contact Unit (ICACU) and undertake work under:

  • Article 12 of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction 1980 (incoming Hague Convention return cases)

 

  • Article 21 of the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction 1980 (incoming Hague access cases)

 

  • Articles 39, 41 and 42 of Council (EU) Regulation 2201/2003 concerning jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in matrimonial matters and the matters of parental responsibility (enforcement under Brussels II bis)

 

  • European Convention on Recognition and Enforcement of Decisions Concerning Custody of Children and on Restoration of Custody of Children (enforcement under the European Convention)

 

Pam is also a specialist in dealing with Wardship applications in relation to Non Hague Convention countries.
