International Women’s Day 2023
In honour and celebration of International Women’s Day 2023, we spotlight our International Child Abduction Team, all of whom are based in our Birmingham office.
Pam Sanghera, Director and Chartered Legal Executive leads the team representing clients nationally and internationally in relation to all family and children cases involving an international element. A specialist in child abduction and jurisdiction matters, Pam is a multiple award winning lawyer who is one of the very few lawyers specialising in this area outside of London. Many of Pam’s cases are often reported with some receiving national and international media coverage. Passionate about raising awareness of child abduction being on the rise in the UK, Pam often collaborates with ReUnite International, the leading charity dealing with parental child abduction and works with the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit (ICACU) as an accredited member. Katie Knight is a Paralegal in the child abduction team who has a hands on approach in supporting both clients and barristers at Court hearings as well as being involved in case progression and preparation thereof. With excellent attention to detail, Katie strives to ensure clients receive a high standard of client care during what can be a very stressful time in their lives.
Amber Kalirai is also a Paralegal in the child abduction team who is the newest member of the expanding team. Amber supports both Pam and Katie with case preparation and is responsible for progressing legal aid applications. The team frequently attend the Royal Courts of Justice (High Court) and the Court of Appeal.
