Adam Carrolan of our Family Department has been successful in his accreditation of The Law Society’s Children’s Panel.
The Children Law Accreditation provides a recognised quality standard for lawyers representing children in child law proceedings.
Separate Representation For Children In Family Proceedings
A child is made a party to proceedings only in circumstances which involve an issue of significant difficulty. The Court will consider whether there is an alternative preferable route before taking the decision to make a child party to proceedings. The Court’s primary consideration will be the best interests of the child.
Adam shall continue his representation of clients within public law children matters and will now represent children within both public and private law children cases.
