Experience
Serena qualified in 2012 having trained at a London based criminal law firm before relocating to the West Midlands area where she has worked extensively in Commercial Law and Criminal Law firms advising in Crime, Regulatory Law (Health and Safety and Trading Standards) and Road Traffic Law.
Serena has represented well-known companies as well as professionals and individuals often facing both criminal and disciplinary proceedings. In addition, Serena specialises in representing clients who have been charged with serious offences at the Crown Court as well as Proceeds of Crime Act proceedings.
Having developed her expertise and specialism in Road Traffic Law, Serena now provides specialist Road Traffic Law advice and representation. With a meticulous approach to her work, Serena has assisted clients in keeping their driving licence when they have faced disqualification from driving in the Criminal Courts and revocation by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
Serena’s experience also includes advising companies, local authorities and individuals regarding compliance with Regulatory Law as well as police investigatory powers under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
Serena is a confident and robust lawyer who is hardworking to ensure she obtains the best result for each of her clients. She is highly attuned to the legal and personal needs of her clients and is known for her empathy, understanding, and down to earth approach. She is a strong Court advocate and has ten years of experience appearing at Magistrates’ Courts across the country. Her business acumen and commercial knowledge greatly assists her business and professional clients.
Serena is also a Duty Solicitor and regularly represents clients at the police station and regularly represents Youth Clients at the Youth Court and Crown Court.

Serena is a member of the Criminal Litigation Panel accredited through the Law Society. In addition, she is a Duty Solicitor and has undergone the Advocacy and Vulnerable Training provided by the Law Society.
Hobbies & Interests
Having read German Language and German Law as part of her degree, Serena is interested in German language and culture. She enjoys foreign cinema including Korean television dramas. In addition, she enjoys traveling particularly to Far East Asia including Malaysia from where she originates. Serena loves far eastern food particularly a well-known Malaysian bread (Roti Canai).
Serena also studied music in Aberdeenshire, Scotland where she played the Viola in local Orchestras as well as the Youth String Orchestra of Scotland. Whilst Serena has not kept up playing the Viola after starting a family, she has greatly enjoyed learning the piano with her six-year-old who is in fact teaching her!
