Laura McKenzie

Laura is a Solicitor in the Family Department based across all three offices with a large following in the Leicester area specialising in children law matters.

Experience

Laura qualified in 2007 and is a specialist in children law matters; often representing children in court proceedings as a result of Local Authority intervention or due to complex family arrangements.

Laura is recognised for being calm, organised and approachable within proceedings and is recognised for her strong advocacy skills. When representing the children, Laura prides herself on being the voice for the child whether through separately representing them or taking instructions from the Children’s Guardian.

Laura is often instructed by Children’s Guardians reflecting her level of expertise and knowledge.

Laura is a member of the Children’s Panel accredited through the Law Society.

Hobbies & Interests

During her spare time Laura is often found in a muddy field either walking the dogs with the family or being a coach for the local children’s football team.  Laura is regularly found at the home games of Aston Villa, a team she has supported since she was small.
