Johnson is a Solicitor based in our Redditch office specialising in all types of criminal defence work.

    Experience

Having qualified and trained in another common law jurisdiction, Johnson spent many years representing clients in summary criminal matters at Magistrates’ Courts and highly complex crimes at Higher Courts. Johnson has represented defendants who have found themselves particularly indigent and marginalised against unscrupulous use of police powers and arbitrary actions of government authorities.

Prior to his qualification in 2022 as a Solicitor in England and Wales, Johnson obtained a Master’s Degree in Criminology. Johnson is always able to deploy relevant criminological insights into all facets of his criminal defence work in order to optimally advance the interests of his clients.

Since qualifying in England and Wales, Johnson has worked on complex international abduction cases, child cruelty, rape and violent disorder matters. Johnson has also worked as part of the wider team in defending a client in a multi-defendant trial at the Crown Court.

Johnson continues to assist his clients with his ability to identify the real and live issues through his ‘cut to the chase’ approach of analysing cases, a skill that saves his clients time and expense.

Johnson is a member of the Criminal Litigation Panel accredited through the Law Society.
